In the interview, the actress was quoted as saying; “I also have pictures in Ghana. The Nigerian embassy in Ghana has pictures of me. I had to run to them at some point. The reason I can’t release those pictures is because I was stark naked. My husband has humiliated me so much and for anybody to tell me I am lying against my husband, that even hurts me more.”
She further said two women had contacted her that they have kids for her husband, and claims she does not regret her marriage as she didn’t grant any interview to the press to discredit her ex-husband, among other things.
Consequently, a cross section of Ghanaian journalists stormed the Accra based police station to verify Tonto Dikeh’s claims.
Some Ghanaian media report that in a 26 minutes video, Supt. Joseph Oppong, Crime Officer at the Madina Divisional Police, revealed that Tonto Dikeh gave a misleading information about the incidents in Ghana she referenced to.
It was disclosed that she never went to the Embassy Unclad as she claimed, rather when the case was reported and she was arrested while damaging properties at their Ghanaian home in Trasaaco estate, the Crime Office contacted the Embassy to inform them and sent a female officer with her.
The top Ghana Officer who headed the case, refuted claims that it was a case of domestic violence. Rather, Oppong disclosed that they received a call to the Churchill’s home where they went in to find Tonto Dikeh in a rage, destroying items in the house because she claimed her husband was cheating on her.
Oppong said the actress was misbehaving and the neighbours confirmed she came in with a bottle of Vodka by 3:am possibly drunk as she destroyed properties worth over 15,000 US Dollars which she also consented to in her written statement.
The police officer said Tonto Dikeh had even waved a gun at one of Churchill’s bodyguards who tried to stop her from breaking the properties.
When asked if Mr Churchill Oladuni was licensed to have a gun, the officer buttressed that it was a licenced pump action which Tonto Dikeh got after she broke the husband’s safe. Oppong adds that the case was said to be withdrawn by the estranged husband in 2015. Watch the full video below;
