Tinubu Is Seriously Sick – Governor Lalong


Following the absence of the South West All Progressives Congress governors and the national leader of the party, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, at the Saturday APC Mega Gubernatorial rally in Akure, Ondo State, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State said on Monday, November 21, that they had sent across their apologies and given serious reasons for not being around.

He also disclosed that Tinubu was absent from the rally because he was sick.

Governor Lalong, who was accompanied by the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, said:

“We explained their absence. They sent in their apologies. You heard what happened there.

“As far as we are concerned, the President, who is the leader of the party, was at the rally. The national chairman was also there, as far as we are concerned, everybody was there.

“If a leader was not there and he said he was not there because of ill-health, we prayed that God will heal him.”

Tinubu Is Sick And Cannot Attend Rallies- Governor Lalong

The governor who is also the Chairman of Ondo APC Governorship Campaign Council, made the disclosure to State House correspondents sequel to a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

According to him, the purpose of their visit to the Villa was to thank the President for being in attendance at the grand finally of the Ondo rally.

The rally which was attended by President Buhari, Senate President Bukola Saraki, and other prominent members of the party, had only Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun from the South West in attendance.

While APC governors from Imo, Kano, Kogi, Jigawa, Nasarawa and Edo states were present at the Akure rally, the governors of Lagos, Oyo and Osun states, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi and Mr. Rauf Aregbosola respectively, as well as former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, were all missing at the event.
