Help Save Veteran Actor Prince James Uche, Desmond Elliot Sends SOS Call


Lagos House of Assembly member and Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot has sent an SOS call to his colleagues and well meaning Nigerians to  help save the life of veteran Nollywood actor, Prince James Uche who has been suffering kidney failure for the past one year.

According to reports, the actor’s 8-years of sickness  has kept him away from the screen and has also made him blind.

It can be recalled that the actor has been battling with so many illness ranging from Kidney failure to Heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and high blood pressure.

His health which has continued to deteriorate has led the one time President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria to solicit for fund from  his fans, colleagues in the industry and the general public, appealing to all and sundry to come to the aid of the actor who is currently at Godspower hospital, 32, C Close, House 7, Festac Town, Lagos.

He posted a photo of Prince James in the hospital on his  Instagram page which read:

“When God blesses u, remember others, Prince James Uche Nollywood actor has been in the hospital struggling to live for over one year now (kidney failure), my fellow artists, great people & friends, pls support him, he needs dialysis, medical care & food to survive. Prince James Uche, WEMA bank PLC 0232151677 or Zenith bank plc 1001063788.”

In 2012, his wife Ekene Uche, was alleged to have thrown him out of their marital home because she’s supposedly ‘fed up with dealing with his illness, caring for him, and catering for the family all alone’.

But when contacted, the wife  denied the allegations, saying he was only sent to the church to receive healing.

Earlier this year, Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, was accused of abandoning the actor, but the former President of the association, Ibinabo Fiberesima, come out to clear the air, saying the AGN had done its best to care for the actor.
