Sandra Hails from Imo State, South East Nigeria

Though raised in the city of Lagos, Sandra originally hails from Mbaise, Imo state, in the Southeastern part of Nigeria. She is currently 56 years old as she was born on November 19, 1967. Not much is known about her parents and other members of her family except for her younger brother, Chima Umunnakwe, who, according to reports, is the personal assistant to the actor, Osita Iheme. He is also said to have welcomed a child whom he named Lucas.

Talking about her educational background, the former Nollywood star had her primary, secondary and tertiary education in Lagos state. She attended state college, Isolo, Lagos, after which she gained admission into the University of Lagos state where she obtained her first-degree certificate.

She Began Her Acting Career in 1995

Even as a newbie in the industry, her debut film role featured her alongside other Nollywood veteran actors like Dolly Unachukwu, Jide Kosoko, and Emeka Ike. The movie would eventually become a classic as well as her stepping stone into the limelight.

Sandra grew further in her career as she continued to garner much more knowledge about acting. She enjoyed more screen roles with Nollywood stars like Ngozi EzeonuKanayo O Kanayo, Pete Edochie, Ini Edo, Charles Okafor, Sonny McDon, Basorge Tariah Jr, and Anne Njemanze amongst others.
