Rapper DMX Of The Ruff Ryders Fame Checks Self Into Rehab
Rapper DMX has checked himself into a rehab facility.
The one time ace rapper has had a past involving substance abuse issues over the years, and looks resolved to change that.
According to reports by TMZ, DMX is getting help at a rehab facility following a couple of concert dates postponed by the rapper.
Sources say on Thursday night, rapper DMX checked himself in at a treatment center in Southern California.
Although some reports say he did so voluntarily, but his manager, Pat Gallo, and ex-wife, Tashera Simmons, were said to have encouraged the move.
The rapper has been to rehab in the past while struggling with substance abuse issues for years.
This week, the former Ruff Ryders rap artist had to cancel 3 shows due to what his rep called a “medical emergency.”

Reports say X flew to California to get help because he felt he was “moving to a dark place” and wanted to make sure he stayed on the right path.
DMX was reported to have been drinking heavily before his show in Brooklyn last week.
The rapper performed at the recently held Ryff Ryders Reunion concert alongside label mates Eve and Swizz Beats in New York.
DMX’s rep in a statement, his fans for the postponed shows saying:
“It is important right now that he take some time off to focus on his health so that he can be a better father, friend and entertainer.”
“We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of concern and support that has poured in.
“We ask that you please keep X in your prayers as he embraces your support.”
