Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, who also confirmed the development to newsmen, said Osinbajo would only inaugurate a few of the projects earmarked for inauguration by the President.

Shehu informed also that the President Buhari would still embark on the visit after Ramadan to inaugurate the remaining projects.

Reports also suggest that the cancellation has a political undertone, as President Buhari was reportedly unhappy over a meeting National Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu had with organized labor last week without clearance from the President’s office.

Commissioner for Information and Strategy Lagos State, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, in a statement on Saturday said President Buhari would inaugurate some landmark projects executed by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode during his visit.
