Born Leke Oluwagbemileke Adeboye, Leke is the youngest of four children born to Pastor E.A. Adeboye by his wife, Foluke Adeboye. He was born in Lagos State; However, his family later moved to Redemption Camp in Ogun State. There, he spent his early years and completed his basic education.

Pastor Leke’s father, E.A. Adeboye, is the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. His mother, Foluke Adeboye, is also a televangelist and pastor in the same church. Being the wife of the General Overseer, she is widely known as mummy G.O.

Growing up, Leke had a not-so-wonderful childhood. As he recounts, when his family moved to Redemption Camp, the place was just a large area of land, without light or access to modern facilities such as telephone and others. Even the surrounding villages were yet to be developed at the time.

Oluwadamilare Adeboye, famously known as Pastor D, was the third born in the family. He was born on June 9, 1978, and died on May 4, 2021, at 42 years old. Dare was among the most influential youth pastors at RCCG. He was married to Temiloluwa Adeboye, and they had two children. Sadly, he passed on in his sleep at home in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.
