Unable to stomach her disappointment, Nollywood Superstar, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde aka Omosexy, has expressed annoyance at Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg for not visiting her when he was in Nigeria.
Zuckerberg arrived Lagos, Nigeria last week Tuesday for an official visit and during the visit, he met with hosts of entertainers including movie director, Kunle Afolayan and Nigerian celebrities such as Basketmouth, Richard Mofe Damijo, among others.
But wondering why the Facebook founder ignored users with highest number of followers on his social media platform, the mother of four took to her Facebook page yesterday, August 4, 2016 where she shared a photo of Zuckerberg, taking a selfie with President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Oshinbajo and wrote:
“That weird moment Zuckerberg visits Nigeria and meets with Everyone but the ones with the highest Ff on his platform.
#welcomeZuck or #goodbyezuck ? #jealousmuch #welovehimthough #controversialpost and #heworeasuit #facebook.”
Like the actress rightly acknowledged, this is truly a very controversial post. But whether she was just joking or seriously upset that she didn’t have a chance to meet Zuckerberg, we may never know.
Meanwhile, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has three million followers on Facebook, an achievement she reached in July, 2016.
During Mack Zuckerberg’s visit to Nigeria, the Nollywood actress was on vacation with her family in Los Angeles. She shared a photo of herself and her family at the film studio and theme park located in Los Angeles California on her Instagram page and also photos with family and friends pictured with Hollywood actor, Hakeem Kea-Kazeem.
It’s good to have a healthy dose of self esteem but one should be very careful not to let it slip into pride. Maybe Mr. Zuckerberg was supposed to have taken stock of Nigerian celebrities with the highest number of followers on Facebook so that he can go for a house by house courtesy call.
This is quite disappointing coming from someone like Omotola! If Mark Zuckerberg’s life cannot teach us humility, I wonder if we’ll ever learn it. We hope she was joking anyway…
