OJB Was Abandoned By Entertainment Industry Colleagues – Family

Two days ago, the Entertainment industry in Nigeria lost a great talent and one of its finest producers.

The legendary music producer, who passed on in the early hours of Tuesday, had struggled with an ailing kidney for a while before eventually travelling to India in 2013 for a kidney transplant.

At Gbaja Street, Surulere, Lagos, the residence of the late talented music producer and singer, Babatunde Jezreel Okungbowa a.k.a ‘OJB Jezreel’ has continued to flow with outpouring emotions following his death two days ago.

OJB had been the creative force behind the several hit songs of a number of notable artistes today. OJB was signed to Kennis Music, he also produced 2Face Idibia’s debut album, Grass 2 Grace and his widely acclaimed hit, ‘African Queen’.

OJB’s Family Upset With Industry Colleagues

However, family members and close friends of OJB are not at all pleased with his colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Reports coming from OJB’s family reveal that many of OJB’s close friends, family and neighbours are bitter. They are accusing the legendary producer’s colleagues in the industry of abandoning him without support in the last days of his life.

According to an anonymous sympathiser at OJB’s residence who spoke to reporters, the entertainment industry is full of fake friends and fake love.

The source alleged that a major portion of the funds raised to pay the bill of OJB’s kidney transplant in India three years ago came from sources outside the entertainment industry.

In 2013, OJB called out several artistes, particularly Dbanj for claiming to have donated N7 million to him for his kidney surgery when he actually didn’t.
