Meanwhile, Tchidi was previously married to actress Sophia Williams, but the union hit the rocks in 2012. Sophia accused Nuella of dating and sleeping with her husband long before their marriage eventually ended, which she also claimed to be the reason for the crash.

Tchidi’s remarriage to actress Nuella did not go down well with Sophia because she claimed that Nuella had been dating and sleeping with her husband even while they were still legally married. So, upon hearing the news, she dragged Nuella and vowed that the wrath of God would be her portion.

Their Marriage Crashed in 2021

In April 2021, reports started making rounds that Nuella and Tchidi were having a marriage crisis. The couple also gave credence to the rumor when they unfollowed each other on Instagram. Nevertheless, they shortly debunked the rumors via their Instagram pages by posting a video of themselves on their bed to show that all is well. But, a few weeks after that, Nuella removed Chikere from her Instagram name.

Again, Nuella’s Instagram bio, which previously read “Mother and Wife,” changed to “Award-winning filmmaker, Mum, CEO.” Meanwhile, Tchidi’s former wife Sophia had mocked them following rumors of their split. “Wetin dey happen to one love made in heaven,” she wrote on her Instagram page. Nuella and Tchidi had named their union “love made in heaven” after they tied the knot.

While some sources cited infidelity as what led to the end of their marriage, others cited domestic violence as the reason. But according to a suggestive post her ex-husband Tchidi once made on his social media page, Nuella just woke up one morning, packed her belongings, and sneaked out of the house. Apart from these claims, there is no other reliable information regarding what actually led to the end of their 7-year-old marriage.

Tess is currently 9 years old and would definitely be receiving her basic education in one of the prestigious schools in Lagos State, where she lives with her mother.
