John and Adaolisa tied the knot in the presence of close friends and family at the Ikoyi Registry in Lagos on November 12, 2015, while they sealed it the traditional way at the bride’s hometown in Ndiojukwu village, Uragu Nnewi North LGA of Anambra state.
The Nigerian midfielder, who is head-over-heels in love with his beautiful wife, had made his engagement proposal a huge news to envy when he popped the big question on October 3, 2015. He proposed to Ada before a massive crowed at the 11,500 capacity Hamochava Stadium in Israel, seconds after his club defeated Maccabi Petah Tikva 5-2 at home.
The football star asked for his girlfriend to come into the field immediately the referee blew the final whistle and while the confused lady was still trying to figure out what was happening, John went down on one knee asking for her hand in marriage – an indeed romantic scene to watch. Having been a footballer for years and helping his team win at the national level, John scored his first international goal on 31 May 2013, in a friendly match against Mexico, which took place at the Reliant Stadium in Houston.
In June 2013, Nigerian coach, Stephen Keshi selected Mr. Ogu as one of 23 players to participate in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup. On 18 March 2015, he was called up amongst 27 other players for the proposed friendly matches against Bolivia and South Africa. So far, John Ogu has proven himself a successful player and father, who knows how to score goals not just in the field but also in the bedroom. Congratulations to the new parents-to-be.
