Toke Makinwa To Lecture At The New York University, Thanks To Her Book


Nigerian media personality and first-time author, Toke Makinwa will be giving a lecture at the prestigious Ivy league school, New York University, (NYU).

Toke Makinwa, who is currently on a tour of her best-selling book, “On Becoming” has been invited as a guest lecturer to address students at the New York on Wednesday, April 19, 2017.

The excited OAP and vlogger made the big reveal via her Instagram page on Tuesday.

According to her post, she will be giving a lecture on the topic, Building a Successful Brand in the Digital Space.

She wrote:

“Super excited to announce that I will be a guest lecturer this Wednesday at NYU. The digital space is home to at-least 80 percent of my career and teaching a media class on “Building a Successful Brand in the Digital space ” is my mission. TM will be at NYU. Super excited, God is good I cannot wait to meet you all.”

Toke’s book, ‘On Becoming’ has gained widespread acceptance from readers who find her autobiography interesting and her heartbreak story inspiring.

Recall that Toke was inspired to write On Becoming after she got separated from her husband, Maje Ayida, who impregnated his longtime girlfriend, Helen Solomon. Toke also revealed that the holy spirit was the brain behind the title of her book.
