She participated in the in-house drama, where she was discovered by Mr. Tubosun, who invited her to star in his movie. Adegbola grabbed the opportunity immediately. While she worked in the broadcasting station, she excused herself several times for acting rehearsals.

Toyin explains in an interview that optical films were what reigned in those days. She starred in one and later many others. She combined her acting career with her job at the broadcasting station for some years.
