He attended these Christian institutions to prepare himself for the pastoral task ahead. This is because he was being groomed to toe the path of his father. Little wonder today David Oyedepo Jr. is now a pastor. He was ordained as a pastor in May 2007 by Kenneth Copeland, the renowned American televangelist and author who is known all over the world for his work in the charismatic movement.

Shortly after his ordination, he was assigned to pastor the London branch of his father’s ministry. He held that position for a while before finally returning to Nigeria. He is now the resident pastor of the ministry’s headquarters, Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun state. It can be recalled that David Jr. thrilled the entire congregation during his first service in Nigeria which was held on March 24, 2013, which happened to be the day after his grandmother was laid to rest.

After his inspiring service, many truly believed he will be the one to take over from his father when he eventually retired. He was also hailed by bishop Abioye, the first vice president of the living faith church worldwide. David Jr. is very popular among members of the church. According to reports, when David Oyedopo and his wife faith went on a vacation in August 2016, his son took over and ministered in five services on Sunday at the Faith Tabernacle.

It was gathered that it was the first time that anyone aside from the bishop would do that. At the moment, David Jr is the youngest vice president of the Living Faith Church, even though there are four other vice presidents in the ministry. In 2004, he rose to become the youngest member of the Covenant University board of regents (the governing council).

David Oyedepo Jr is a married man. He tied the knot with his wife Kemi Olubu-Oyedepo in July 2008 and they are blessed with two beautiful kids; a boy and a girl.
