Last weekend was a happy one for Nollywood actor, Kenneth Okonkwo, whose wife gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday, May 7th. The “Living In Bondage” actor and his wife, Ifeoma, have been married for nine years without a child. Fortunately, the bond of barrenness has been broken, as the couple welcomed their bundle of joy at St. Joseph Medical Centre, Baltimore, USA. The bouncing baby boy has been named Kenneth, after his father.

The happy father wrote on his Instagram page:
“God has been faithful. To him be the glory for giving us another Ken”
The newly arrived is Kenneth’s second son. He already had one from his first marriage to Ogechi, daughter of Pastor Ezekiel of Christian Pentecostal Mission International, whom he parted ways with years ago.
Kenneth Okonkwo is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Enugu where he holds a degree in Business Administration. He was born and bred in the same state and holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, Akoka.
In 1991, Kenneth Okonkwo debuted in Nollywood as Andy, in Living in Bondage, a movie directed by Okey Ogunjiofor. He has also featured in several other Nigerian movies including “Dumebi” and the Television Soap Opera “Ripple” where he played the role of Captain John Mark.
The actor, politician and man of God studied Theology at a Bible School, however in 2014 he went into politics in Enugu state, but backed out of PDP primary elections in 2015 where he was contesting for House of Representatives seat in 2015.
Just last Month, Kenneth Okonkwo was privileged to go for a tour at the White House. The actor, Lawyer and NOUN ambassador says that trip was inspiring and orchestrated by God. The new father features in Omoni Oboli’s “Wives On Strike,” where he plays the role of one of the husbands, whose wife refuses to have intimated relationship with, due to a strike.
