American songwriter, singer and dancer, Janet Damita Jo Jackson, announced via a selfie video recording, that her Unbreakable world tour concert will continue next year. Her reason was simple – family duty calls. The youngest sister of late world legend, Micheal Jackson, is planning a family with her Qatari billionaire husband, Wissam Al Mana, thus her rationale for postponing her concert with a promise of getting back on tour in 2017.
A spokesperson for her promoters Live Nation, also released a statement regarding the tour which started in North America. He said the new dates for the second leg of the tour which was supposed to hold in August 2016, would be announced at a later time. He also said that tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates and refunds are also available at the point of purchase.
Janet posted this video announcement on social media last week:
‘Hey you guys, on August 31 I launched the Unbreakable world tour. First I want to thank all the fans for coming out and seeing the show, you guys made it so enjoyable each and every night. We are in the second leg of the tour and there’s been a sudden change and I thought it was important you be the first to know.”
“My husband and I are planning a family so I’m going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you can, try and understand it’s important that I do this now, I have to rest up, doctors orders, but I have not forgotten about you, I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.’
The hot bodied singer, who would be marking her 50th birthday anniversary on May 16, got married to her third husband, Wissam Al Mana, in 2012. Before him was James DeBarge, they were married from 1984 to 1985, after which she was married to René Elizondo, Jr. from 1991 to 2000. Although Janet didn’t state it expressively in the video, it seems like someone is about to be a mother. Let’s be the first to congratulate you Janet on the conception of Wissam Al Mana Jnr.
