Fimba Onyeka started his journey into the music industry at 12, taking after his late uncle and mentor, Francis Afunoro.
A Nigerian gospel artist, song writer and hymnist, Fimba Onyeka is a graduate of social psychology.
Having been nominated as the best Enugu medley of the year in 2013 at Ikeja, Lagos – alongside Keffe (the Branama singer of blessed memory) and a host of others, Fimba has gone on to become a blessing to Christian families everywhere.
Fimba Onyeka recently released “Grace,” an album that has been described as powerfully revelational by both critics and fans.
This is definitely one to look out for.

Have you heard of Mister Special?
Mister Special (born Obilor Chima) is a gospel artist and worship leader, as well as a song writer, based in Enugu. Acclaimed as one of the fastest growing gospel artistes in Nigeria, he emerged as the best singer of the 2015 Unleashed Musical Competition.
A University graduate in Accounting, he has worked with great Nigerian gospel artists like Chris Morgan on a song titled “You Are The Same.”
Special’s songs come prepacked with mind-blowing lyrics that seem to serenade worshippers into the presence of God, with accompanying beats that are just right to create that worship experience that every true worshipper has come to expect. Also, this mild-mannered guy has the voice to go with it.
BuzzNigeria caught up with him recently, and he told us that he is currently working on his new single, titled “Igwe.”

Drakare D Guspoolfrik
Drakare D Guspoolfrik (Dooyum Kingsley Abaa) is an award-winning gospel rapper from Benue State. His albums have recorded a lot of downloads all over the internet, from his album “Demigod” his mixtape “Demigod 2” and his EP “The Christ Executive Offer (CEO).
Drakare began music as a secular artiste in 2009. However, somewhere along the line, after being healed of asthma by the miraculous power of God, he decided to use his talent for the gospel, hence the name “D Guspoolfrik.”
In 2013 he made first runner-up for the Teenage Outreach Ministry (TOM) camp rap competition and was nominated as Benue State best gospel rapper in 2014. In 2015, he was awarded the best collaboration of the year and best HipHop song of the year in The Selah Award!
Drakare’s first official music video, “High Breeds” featuring Adakole William and directed by Johnicks, was an epic breakthrough for gospel rappers. He currently holds the record of being the first gospel rap artiste to win 3 awards in a single year, with over 8 nominations within 3 years. He is presently working on another album, titled “Race for Eternity,”
