A gay suspect has been arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command for sexually molesting 4 secondary school boys.
The 39-year-old man identified as Victor Akagha, from Owerri, Imo State living at 20, Mustapha Kosoko Street, Ijesha, Surulere, was ambushed at one of his victim’s school.
The suspect was arrested where he came with his car to pick his latest victim, a 15-year-old secondary school boy – Ikechi in Surulere, Lagos. After Akagha was arrested, Ikechi told investigators that the suspect was to sleep with him before he was caught.
Akagha, a betnaija agent with several shops in Lagos had allegedly slept with three other teenagers before he was arrested by the operatives on 9th of May, 2017.
On interrogation, the suspect disclosed to investigators that he had been spending fortunes on his teenage lovers in order to make them feel comfortable and accede to his requests whenever he needed them.
Akagba also revealed that he engaged his previous teenage lovers through facebook, and after meeting, he took them to eateries where he treated them specially to all sorts of meals.
The suspect said he bought new phones for them whenever he met any partner online, explaining that he also bought a phone for his latest partner Ikechi. He has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.
Meanwhile, the police in Enugu State have arrested a 22-year-old lady and a commercial motorcyclist (Okada) for allegedly stealing a minor contrary to Section 371 of the Criminal Code, an offence punishable by law with 14 years’ imprisonment, if convicted.
The suspect identified as Ifeoma was alleged to have stolen a three-year-old boy, Wisdom Owaji, from his father’s house at Ozalla in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
The lady and her motorcyclist accomplice were reportedly taking the victim to Ezeagu in the state when they were arrested at Udi area by the police and taken to the state Criminal Investigation Department, CID, for further investigation. The motorcyclist has also been detained alongside his motorcycle as an exhibit.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu, reliable police sources said the suspect had approached Wisdom’s father, Onyekachi, in the company of one Mr Chidi on the pretext that they were looking for rooms to rent in his house but ended up stealing his child.
