Thanks to Mark Zuckerberg, a Nigerian lady, Susan, said YES to her Facebook Love after years of online communication and friendship.
The newly-engaged and excited bride-to-be expressed her joy and how she found love on the internet. According to her, this Facebook love started from a single and ordinary hi.
Susan said she and her fiance connected after he had sent her a ‘Hey’ message on Facebook. She munched a picture of their first chat and did a collage with a picture of her engagement ring with the caption:
“It all started with “hey,” two years ago on Facebook.
“And you know how some girls (me) are, we would reply years later, she wrote. “Well I replied like 12 days later and he said “I know your sister.” In my mind, I said “see this one famzing. [To] cut [the] long story short, I kept replying days after he sen[t] messages, especially when I knew we were like over 6000 miles apart; until we clicked.
“We all know how it goes… from there… We kept in touch and fell in love along the way. Saw him for the first time last year and upon our second meeting this year, I said yes to my best friend (the only best friend I have actually), my brother, my lover for life and my knight @cashmyles. So yeah, I cut the long story short sha. I’m engaged.”
This is just one of the benefits that Facebook has given the world. Although some people use the platform for dubious activities, Susan and the likes of Lara Akinyemi and Niyi Okubanjo among others have been able to find happiness in their Facebook love. We wish them all the best of luck in their marriage.
