Inyanya Debunks Engagement Rumours: Never Knew I Was Engaged

Following a report by NigeriaFilms on July 20, 2016, that said Inyanya was engaged to a US-based Liberian woman, the singer clears the air.

According to the report, Iyanya got engaged to a 34-year-old Georgianna Weah on July 15, 2016. In a recent post on Instagram, Inyanya denies the news saying, “Apparently, I’m engaged and I didn’t even know.”

It would not be out-of-place for such a rumour to surface, as no one knows who the ‘Kukere’ Crooner is currently going out with. This will not the first time Inyanya would be linked to a lady as he loves to share photos of him and strange women on the internet.

In April this year, he shared a photo of himself and an unknown lady and captioned it “No days off,” leaving his followers to keep guessing who the lady is.

Recall that he reportedly broke up with Freda Francis early this year after he unfollowed her on the photo sharing platform. Rumour of their breakup started in January after he deleted all photos of himself and Freda Francis except for a selfie of Ubi Franklin and Lilian Esoro which Freda photobombed on Instagram.

Also, in an interview with Punch in February this year, Inyanya spoke about his plans to get married in 2016 and in a private ceremony.

“I am making plans to do all that but I don’t think I would want people to know anything about it,” he told Punch. “I will not miss the single life” said the singer. The truth is that once it gets to the hands of the media, we both lose it.

“But it is not your fault because you are just doing your job. But then, it just takes a negative effect on the relationship. It puts us on unnecessary pressure. It gives the people who don’t even have the right to talk, an opportunity to interfere even when they don’t know the truth about what is going on.

“So from social media, I’ve learnt to keep my relationship private and to give the people more music. That is what they know me for first of all. I don’t let the other things cloud the music that I’m known for.”

Maybe the July 20th report might just be true after all but Inyanya is only implementing the strategy he told Punch. Well, whatever the case is, Inyanya should focus on following his manager, Ubi Franklin’s footstep by saying “I do” and fathering a child as soon as possible. That way he would be putting his hot body into good use.
