The Emir of Mubi, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Isah Abubakar, has advised the All Progressives Congress (APC), to stop deceiving Nigerians who voted them into power, in order for the party to move forward. He said this while hosting an entourage of the APC acting chairman in Adamawa, Ibrahim Bilal, who visited him as part of his tour of the 21 Local Governments in the state.
Alhaji Isah said that if APC works with God-fearing and qualified people irrespective of religion, gender and status, the country will witness tremendous growth in every aspect.
“I’m a Father to all of you here. If cannot tell you the truth, I’m not a good father. Do what your electorates wants you to do, that is what democracy is about.”
The first class Emir and monarch advised party officials to stop imposing candidates on the electorates for the sake of getting more votes, as it will negatively influence the people as well as the government on the long run.
He also urged APC members to live in peace and harmony with themselves, saying it is the only way to stay united as a party. The Emir said if APC is fair to everyone, without any form of bribery, ethnic or religious differences, the party will stand the test of time.
Meanwhile, the acting chairman of the party in Adamawa, Ibrahim Bilal, had earlier explained that his visit was to seek royal blessings and prayers for APC to succeed in Adamawa and the country at large.
Bilal also told the Emir that he and his delegation were going round to socialize with party officials in all the 21 LGAs so that there would be a stronger bond to bind APC in unity, which will help the party handle future challenges with ease.
