Cristiano Ronaldo At 32: See How The Galatico Celebrated Yesterday

It was Cristiano Ronaldo’s birthday on Sunday, February 5 and the world’s most adored football star had the weekend away from football to celebrate with his son and mother.

The celebration seemed to be a private one as Ronaldo shared a photograph of himself posing with his mother and son, Cristiano Jnr, next to his birthday cake, on his Instagram page. Thanks to the last minute cancellation of Sunday’s match with Real Madrid vs Celta Vigo, which was postponed after a storm reportedly damaged the roof of the Rio Alto Balaidos Stadium.

As a result, Vigo’s mayor, Abel Caballero, decided he could not allow the game to go ahead until the stadium is deemed to be safe for spectators. The Daily Mail reports that according to Caballero:

“I have spoken to the Celta president, the decision is irreversible. The storm last night was very severe, taking off part of the roof.

“The firemen could not fix it. The pitch is not fit for purpose and we are prioritising security.
