Last weekend, American singer/hip hop dancer, Ciara, was in Nigeria to feature in “Love Like a Movie,” the third edition of Darey Art Alade’s music concert. The event held on Sunday February 28, 2016, at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The 30-year-old singer and hip-hop dancer had the time of her life in Nigeria and was proud to post pictures and videos of her visit on her Instagram page.
From the moment Ciara landed Muritala Muhammed International Airport on Friday, she started taking pictures of everywhere she went to in Lagos and posting them on social networks. She also learnt some Nigerian dance steps which she will surely incorporate into her latest dance steps once she hits the studio back in the UK.
Aside that, the hot mother of one, who came into the country with her baby papa, Russell Wilson, did a sexy dance version of Inyanya’s Kukere and Tecno’s Baby Duro, on the streets of Lagos with her dance crew and also on stage during the concert. She killed the Nigerian dance steps like she was addicted to it. Her performance at the event “Love Like a Movie,” was epic, as she also performed with Nigerian’s Guinness Book Record breaker, Kaffy.

Fans of this amazing artiste didn’t stop showing their love her music as they sang and danced to her performance. Ciara also got a surprise gift from a fan, Akeem, who made her a beautiful sketch of herself and presented it to her backstage during the show.
She shared the photo of the portrait on her official Instagram page with the caption, ‘Akeem You Are An Incredible Artist With A Sweet Soul! This Picture You Drew Of Me Is Breathtaking! Grateful For Fans Like You! #Nigeria’. Unlike most foreign celebrities who visit Nigerian, Ciara didn’t leave the country immediately after the concert, but stayed to carry out some philanthropic duties. She visited two secondary schools in Lagos: Ilado Community Junior High School and Akande Dahunsi Memorial Senior/Junior High School.
She was welcomed by a student who gave a fair enough rendition of her song. She also took lots of selfies with the children and told them to keep following their dreams. Ciara described her visit to the schools as one of the best days of her life, saying she was proud of Nigeria and glad to associate with the futures of the country.
Aside Ciara, who was the major act in Darey’s “Love Like Movie Concert,” the show was well attended and had artistes like Yemi Alade, Iyanya, Sound Sultan, Omawumi, Olamide, Vector, Kaffy, Simi, Styl Plus, Jazzman Olofin, Weird MC, Kenny Black and many more, perform on stage as well.
