Children’s Day Movie: The Perfect Weekend To Take Your Kids To The Cinema


Taking your kids out for a Children’s Day movie should be one of the activities at the top of your list! The 27th of May is one of the most exciting days for children in Nigeria. In-tune with the children’s day celebration, Silverbird SEC and Jabi will be giving out free popcorn and a drink for children aged between 2- 13 years watching the animated children’s day movie “Sing”. Sing is an animated musical comedy film about a group of anthropomorphic animals that enter a singing competition, hosted by a Koala hoping to save his theater. The film includes over 60 songs from famous artists and also has an original song by Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande called “Faith”.

The movie has a lovely message which promotes being brave, teamwork, being hardworking, and lastly following your dreams. It also touches key areas such as building a good parent-child relationship and the significance of a home.

Sing – At Silverbird Cinema (SEC)

A ticket for Sing goes for N1,500 (which comes with a free drink and popcorn for children aged between 2 -13 years). Sing at the SEC Silverbird Cinema has three show times starting from noon at 12:15, 2:05 pm, And 4:10 pm.

Sing – At Silverbird Cinema (Jabi)    

The same offer (free drink and popcorn) applies to children aged between 2 – 13 years at Silverbird Cinema Jabi. It also has three show times but starts off a little earlier at 11:10 am, 1:10 pm, and 3:10 pm.
