Charly Boy Attacks ‘Bastard’ Pastors, Politicians For Owning Private Jets

Nigerian entertainer and activist Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy has described pastors and politicians, who won private jets as “bastards.”

Expressing disappointment at the comatose state of the defunct national carrier – Nigeria Airways, Charly Boy wrote via his Twitter handle:

“What a shame, Nigeria doesn’t even have a national air carrier yet there are over 100 private jets owned by con men/pastors called men of God and thieves called Leaders/politicians.

“May the revolution consume the bastards.”

But Reno Omokri, a former aide to the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan, has slammed Charly Boy for his statement arguing that pastors are not responsible for providing Nigeria’s national air carrier.

Omokri further argued that if Charly Boy calls pastors ‘conmen’ for having jets then that would also make him (Charly Boy) a ‘conman’ for having a car when his state (Imo) has no mass transit.

In a series of tweets, Omokri advised the Areafada to challenge the governor of his state, Rochas Okorocha for wasting resources on statues and creation of a ministry of happiness rather than attacking pastors. He wrote:

“I don’t get Charly Boy’s complaint about Nigeria not having a National airline yet pastors have private jets. Are pastors responsible for Nigeria not having a national airline? What is the connection? Is this senility? Are pastors the politicians that ruined Nigerian Airways?

“Charly Boy @Areafada1 calling pastors conmen because they have private jets while Nigeria has no national airline is like saying Charly Boy is a conman because he has a car yet his state has no mass transit bus system!

‎“Charly Boy @Areafada1, not all pastors are conmen. You are from Imo state. Face the real conman that is busy using your state’s resources to build statues for foreign leaders with no connection to Imo. And while you are at it, face your ‘Happiness Commissioner’.”

The controversial singer recently slammed Nigerian youths for politically supporting former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the 2019 presidential election.

While arguing that there are many Nigerians who are more credible whom the youth should rather support, the convener of OurMumuDonDo movement accused the youth of contributing to the many problems confronting Nigeria as a nation.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, the maverick singer said:

“How can a country that has intelligent people like Akinwumi Adesina, Mohammed Barkindo, Aliko Dangote, Tony Elemelu, Donald Duke, Chukwuma Soludo, Okonji Iweala…

“With the numbers of Nigerians that have brains, intelligent and smart Nigerians across the globe, all political equations have to offer us is Buhari and Atiku.

“Abi we should add Wike and his fans ‘kidnappers’ to the list?

Are you people crazy or I’m the crazy one?
