Boxer Manny Pacquiao Builds Estates For The Poor In Philippines


37-year old Boxer, Manny Pacquiao, is making his fans proud with his charity works. While, his fellow champion boxer, Floyd Mayweather spends his million dollars on strippers and escorts right in his house, Pacquiao is investing his wealth on churches and the helping poor. Manny has an estate where he built hundreds of houses for the poor in his hometown in Philippines. He said he loves giving to the poor, which is in accordance to the word of God in the scriptures.

“I’m so happy giving this houses free to my constituents in Sarangani Province from my own pocket more than thousand families are the beneficiaries. and i’m still building more because i always believe what the bible says;  Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. Thank you Lord for everything. Even some people are criticizing me but I’m still happy because you live in me. He says after quoting 1 Peter 4:8-10″.

Manny was born as Emmanuel “Manny” Dapidran Pacquiao in the Philipines. He is the first and only eight-division world champion, in which he has won ten world titles, as well as the first to win the lineal championship in four different weight classes. At age 32, he was elected to the Philippine House of Representatives. Manny was named “Fighter of the Decade” for the 2000s (decade) by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA), World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Organization (WBO). He is also a three-time The Ring and BWAA “Fighter of the Year,” winning the award in 2006, 2008, and 2009, and the Best Fighter ESPY Award in 2009 and 2011.

In May 2015, Pacquiao fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. After years of tumultuous negotiations, the two finally met in the ring, Pacquiao with the intent to be the aggressor and Mayweather with the strategy of diffuse and counter. According to official judges, the fight scorecards read 118–110, 116–112, 116–112, in favor of Mayweather.

The result was largely criticized by several fans and celebrities who witnessed the fight, expressing their disappointment at what had been billed as the “Fight of the Century,” and saying it did not meet up with people’s expectation. In the post-fight interview, the Pacquiao camp claimed that he fought handicapped with an injured right arm, stating that the results which seemed manipulated was part of the game:

The fight doesn’t bother me too much, I did my best. I hurt my shoulder, but I didn’t complain or say I was injured. This is part of the game. I didn’t want to make any excuses.

According to Forbes ranking in 2015, Manny was the 2nd highest paid athlete in the world as of last year. The big-hearted boxer, aside being a generous philanthropist, has been involved in basketball, acting, and singing.
