Apostle Suleiman: 6 Threatening Things He Said About His Arrest

Apostle Suleiman, General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, has spoken up about the attempt by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) to arrest him.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning (January 25), the Pastor who was in Ado Ekiti for a two-day crusade that was also attended by Fayose, was trailed to his hotel room by the operatives of the DSS, who almost forced their way into his room but were resisted by security men of the hotel that insisted to know their mission.

The clergyman was alerted and he called Governor Fayose who arrived just in time and stopped the operatives from whisking him away. According to reports, security officials wanted to arrest the man of God for inciting his audience to rise up against Fulani herdsmen.

Speaking recently during a church service Auchi, Edo state, the man of God called on his members to defend themselves and kill any Fulani herdsman they find near him or his church.

His words:

“Somebody called me on phone and said: ‘are you alone?’ I said yeah. He said ‘I want to talk to you’. I said what is it. He said ‘there is a plan to send Fulani herdsmen after you.’ I said after who? He said after me. He said ‘why are you saying okay?’ He said ‘I’m telling you to be careful.’ I said careful of what? He said ‘they are going to run into the road like herdsmen and cause some confusion and while your security men are trying to clear them, clear them, you will come out and the will open fire.’ I said Okay.

“After about a week, two weeks, he called me and said, ‘if they don’t do that they might bring them to come around church premises.’ I said it is okay. Are you the one they are after. I said it’s okay.

“And I told my people, I said any Fulani herdsman you see around you, kill him. (cheers from the congregants). Yesterday she was talking I just keep quiet because you know women there are things you don’t tell them.

“I have told them in the church here that any Fulani herdsman that just enter by mistake and want to pretend, kill him. Kill him (more cheers from the packed church).

“Cut his head. If they are busy killing Christians and nothing is happening, we will kill them and nothing will happen (more cheers).”

Speaking after the foiled arrest Apostle Suleiman made some comments about the incident and these are some of the things he said.

  • I called some people that there are some men here who say they want to see me at this dead hour of the night, something is fishy.
  • They came with trucks and all that but the governor came and took me out.
  • They tried to break into the place but the crowd scared them.
  • If I spend one day with the security operatives, the damage that will happen in Nigeria will take one year to repair.
  • I have churches in 42 countries and I have alerted them. Every Nigerian embassy in those countries will be in trouble.
  • In this country alone, I have over half a million people and there are reactions already.

Meanwhile, news about the averted arrest of Apostle Suleiman has been trailed with a lot of reactions from Nigerians with many condemning the DSS and whoever sent them for their actions.
