We Will Frustrate Obiano’s Re-Election For Calling Us Toothless Bulldogs – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have continued their war of words with Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano, vowing to frustrate his re-election into the Anambra Government house in November.

IPOB are infuriated because of Obiano’s recent outburst against the group, reportedly describing IPOB as “a toothless bulldog which is capable of words but incapable of action and being used by a few to enrich themselves under the guise of fighting for Igbo people”

IPOB told the Governor that he has crossed the red line and the consequences would be dire for his second term ambition.

IPOB said that it was a costly venture for the Anambra governor to question the popularity and then refer to it as toothless bulldog and rear tyres that can never overtake the front tyres, knowing that IPOB has repeatedly demonstrated its popularity as was the case on September 23, 2016 when it carried out a successful sit-at-home protest.

“Obiano called IPOB a toothless bulldog but after the November 2017 election, he will know if IPOB is a toothless bulldog or not. We assure Obiano that he shall surely fail in his re-election bid, just as he failed in his ill-conceived pro-Buhari rally”

In a statement issued by its spokespersons, Mr.Emma Nmezu and Dr. Clifford Iroanya, IPOB reminded Obiano that his success in the 2013 governorship election was made possible because of the position IPOB took in repudiating the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Dr. Chris Ngige.

Excerpts of the statement reads:

“For the records, IPOB though apolitical, was instrumental to Obiano being the governor of Anambra State because we repudiated the northern and Islamic-dominated APC party represented by Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige and we still do repudiate them till today,”

“We promise Obiano that even though we abhor and repudiate Nigerian politics, we shall do to him what we did to Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige in 2013 Anambra gubernatorial election,”

Secondly, we brought the entire Biafraland to a standstill on September 23, 2016 with our successful sit-at-home protest. The test of IPOB‘s popularity and efficacy is never in doubt.
