Akah Nnani Was Born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria

Akah Nnani is an Imo State native who was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State’s capital. He celebrates his birthday on January 31 every year but his year of birth remains unknown. Thus, his exact age is hidden from the public presently. Still, Akah looks to be in his thirties.

Akah Nnani began acting in 2014 and has appeared in a number of TV shows, web series, and feature films. He received his first major acting role in the 2015 mini-series ‘One Chance’, in which he played a character named Sly. The story followed a group of friends who boarded a late-night bus only to become victims of a late-night robbery expedition.

Following this film role, he went on to play Efosa in ‘On The Real’ in 2016, Sergeant in ‘Banana Island Ghost’ and Tobemin’s The Royal Hibiscus Hotel’ in 2017, and G Diddy in ‘Lara and the Beat’ in 2018, among many others.

The actor wasn’t always an actor though. In fact, before choosing to become one, the father-of-one worked in a telecommunications company. He also hosted TVC’s ‘Entertainment Splash’, where he interviewed many African celebrities from the music and film industries.

Akah has starred in several MNET films and the Ndani TV web series, ‘One Chance’, which premiered in July 2015. ‘Tinsel’, arguably Africa’s number one lifetime TV series, also featured him at some point.

Akah is Happily Married to Claire Idera

Akah Nnani is married to Claire Idera, a longtime sweetheart and close friend. They got engaged on January 29, 2019, and got married three months later on April 8, 2019. The couple’s church wedding took place several hours after their traditional wedding. Claire is an accomplished and multi-talented Nigerian architect. She also has a Master’s degree in Fashion and works as a freelance fashion designer and illustrator.

Claire’s work is primarily composed of watercolors, acrylic paint, pencils, and ink. She has collaborated with brands like Hugo Boss, Maki Oh, Lisa Folawiyo, and others, and her work has even been displayed at Rele Gallery in Lagos.

Akah’s wife also runs a workshop called the Claire Idera Workshop (CIW), where she works with aspiring fashion designers and illustrators to explore the concepts of line, shape, and composition. She also teaches them the technical skills required to succeed in the design field.
