Reminisce is a talented Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter with a net worth of $7 million. This makes him one of the richest and most influential artists in the Nigerian music industry.

His music career accounts for the major source of his net worth. However, he also makes money from other endeavors, including music shows and endorsement deals.

The Nigerian music industry is filled with highly talented individuals that sometimes, it becomes a herculean task to say who has got more fame and success than the other. However, Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, popularly known by his stage name Reminisce, has garnered huge fame as a versatile Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter. His outstanding musical skills have enabled him to perform in English and his local language, Yoruba.

With Reminisce’s huge net worth, it will be safe to say that the multifaceted musician has made a fortune for himself. He is an internationally recognized artist and has been active in the Nigerian music industry for over a decade. Interestingly, he won the Rap Artiste of the Year at the City People Entertainment Award in 2016.

Reminisce’s Music Career Contributed Largely to His $7 Million Net Worth

His music career is one of the major sources of his net worth, and the singer has, so far, released four music albums and several chart-topping singles. Reminisce’s net worth gave him the credibility to be among the richest musicians in the country. According to a 2021 estimation by Forbes, the best indigenous Yoruba rapper is worth a whopping $7 million, which is about 2.8 billion in Naira. Although some sources pegged his net worth a little above $7 million and some below, the bottom line is that the music talent has apparently carved a niche for himself in the music industry. Let’s look at how his music career helped him achieve such a huge net worth.

Reminisce Had Passion For Music From An Early Stage

Though on a very low key, Reminisce began his musical career while he was still an undergraduate in Kwara State Polytechnic. He had a strong passion for music from childhood, and when he is not studying, he listens to various genres of English and local music. He joined his school’s performing arts group, where he participated in many school activities before he graduated.

The singer continued brushing up his rapping skills by emulating the then-popular rappers such as Nas, Snoop Dog, Jay Z, etc. Given his hard work and creativity, he recorded his first song in 2006. Still in school, he recorded his first hardcore rap album, but it was sadly not released, so he thought it wise to pause on music and complete his studies first.

He Fully Began His Music Career in 2008 After His Graduation

It is a reliable fact that the singer started with his music career quite early. However, it subsequently opened doors for his continual success in the industry. On completing his studies at Kwara State Polytechnic, Reminisce professionally started his musical career in 2008. The artist, who is signed to Edge Records, a self-established record label, is also the founder and CEO of the LRR Record.

Having his own record label is a big feat to him because it gives him the edge to earn more from his performances rather than giving out a large part of the money to any label as he used to do in the past. So far, Reminisce has had joint works with A-list Nigerian artists like Davido, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Olamide, Yemi Alade, Don Jazzy, and many others.

His Two Singles, Ever Since and If Only, Established Him in The Nigerian Music Industry

After returning fully to the music scene in 2008, the music talent has continued to make waves in the industry, without looking back. He started with performing a rap verse in the track titled Bachelor’s Life Off 9ice‘s juvenile album titled Gongo Aso. Reminisce released his first single, which centered on his life story till that moment, Ever Since, featuring 9ice. If Only, his second single, followed up and was a love song produced by Dtunez.

However, as time goes on, his charges increased just as he continued to gain more fame and popularity in the entertainment industry.
