2018 World Cup – The die has been cast and the Nigeria’s Super Eagles have again been drawn alongside Argentina in Group D for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The fixture took place on Friday during the ceremony for the World Cup draw held in the Kremlin Moscow. Other countries in the same group as Nigeria and Argentina are Iceland and Croatia.

Going back memory lane this is the fifth time Nigeria will be pitched against Argentina in the group stage of the World Cup and unfortunately, the Eagles have lost all their previous games against Argentina.
Except for France 1998, where the Nigeria’s Super Eagles faced the two-time world champions in all the World Cup campaigns in which they qualified for.
Group C has France Australia, Peru, and Denmark. Meanwhile, Neymar’s Brazil will play in Group E alongside Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia.
Title holders Germany as well as Mexico, Sweden, and South Korea were drawn in Group F.
Group G consists of Belgium, Panama, Tunisia, and England, just as Poland face Senegal, Colombia, and Japan in Group H.
The 2018 world cup is scheduled to take place in Russia from 14 June to 15 July after the country was awarded the hosting rights in December 2010. This will be the first World Cup will be held in Europe since 2006.
