Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says Zlatan Ibrahimovic old to succeed in the Premier League this season.
Ibrahimovic joined Manchester United this summer from French clubside, Paris Saint-Germain.
Zlatan has had a glittering career in clubs like Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
He scored his first goal just four minutes into his debut outing at Manchester United in a pre-season friendly against Galatasaray in his native season with a typically acrobatic bicycle kick.
Coach Arsene Wenger thinks Ibrahimovic is not a certainty to be a success at Manchester.
Wenger acknowledges the Swede’s talent, but says his age – 34 – may count against in him the fast-paced and physical Premier League.
Ibrahimovic Old To Succeed – Arsenal
Wenger, speaking ahead of Arsenal’s final pre-season game against Manchester City on Sunday, said:
“Honestly I don’t know [how he will get on].
“Going for him is his class, his talent, his desire to do well.
“What goes against him is that he is not the youngest player anymore, so you are questioned about that in every game.
“From what I saw of him last year at Paris Saint-Germain, it was his most complete season as an individual player and as a team player. He became a really great team player last season.
“On the mental aspect, he will bring something to Man United as well.
“He is a winner, he has charisma and he will give them a strength as well as his individual quality.”
Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal excited to pay big money for a striker if they can find the right one.
The Gunners are said to be exploring a number of options over a new centre-forward. Arsenal are continuing discussions over the possible signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
Wenger was recently forced to defend his transfer policy, insisting the club will not just spend for the sake of it.
