Tonto Dikeh Talks About Love and Marriage


Once a controversial actress, now a wife and mother, Tonto Dikeh speaks about the relationship between love, marrying the right person and being a prayerful person. She shared these wise words with her fans this morning, May 12, on her Instagram page, advising spouses on choosing the right partner. She wrote,

“A prayer-less man/woman is in for doom . . . besides choosing the god you want to serve, the next big decision a man/woman have to make in life is who to spend the rest of your life with.”

“When you get any of those 2wrong, only divine intervention will ensure you get to your predestined end. A wrong spouse will not only derail you from the set-course, they will also make sure a journey of 10 days last 10 years . . . love is not/never enough to choose a partner. Prayer and understanding is the key.”

This is how marriage changes people. Tonto Dikeh was known in Nollywood as a chain smoker who started smoking since the age of 14. However, rumour had it that she was delivered by controversial pastor T.B. Joshua after prayers via Emmanuel TV.

The actress, who recently welcomed her first baby with her husband, Oladunni Churchill, seems to be enjoying life as a married woman. While in the second trimester of her pregnancy, Tonto Dikey’s husband paid her bride price in a private and traditional ceremony held at her family home in Port Harcourt. Prior to then, the actress has been associated with numerous men in and out of the entertainment industry.

The Port-Harcourt born actress was also associated with D’banj – musically. She was signed to his label and they were responsible for her last single ” Sugar Rush.” However, in a recent interview with the Koko master, he explained that the actress cum singer is no longer in his label due to a decision she made. It is obvious that as a married woman, things have changed for Tonto, including her priorities, reasoning and vocabulary.
