Truly, where there’s a will, there’s always a way! Do you believe it is possible for anyone to travel by land from Europe to Africa, Nigeria to be precise? I’m sure your answer will either be a resounding NO or a mocking laughter. But here is the story…

A 26-year-old Danish young man and a bicyclist fanatic, Mr. Sunnel Thuesem, rode a bicycle all the way from Denmark to Nigeria (Lagos-Benin-Calabar) and enroute Cameroon to South Africa.

Sunnel Thuesem was received in Cross River state by Effiwatt, Special Adviser on Sports, Eric Anderson, Special Adviser on Tourism and former President Goodluck Jonathan’s son in-law, Godswill Edwards-Prince who is the Special Adviser on Youth Affairs to the governor Ben Ayade.

“We as youths need to be focus, resilient, patient, hardworking, tenacious and confident for we to achieve any set goal in life.

“This was my word to youths today at the U. J. Esuene, Calabar when I and other two political appointees ( Mr. Effiwatt – S.A Sports and Mr. Eric Anderson – S.A Tourism), on behalf of the Cross River State government received Mr. Sunnel Thuesem, a Danish young man and a bicyclist enthusiast, age 26, who rode bicycle from Denmark to Nigeria (Lagos-Benin-Calabar) and enroute Cameroon to South Africa.”

The news of Thuesem’s bicycle journey to Africa’s most populous nation has sparked a lot of questions from it’s citizens. A Facebook commentator, Eric Noble, who seems to have spoken the mind of many people considering the enormous support his comment received said:

“Fake. How come ? From Europe u need to cross a big sea that separates Europe and Africa. Then u get to Morocco which is the first African country . Then from Morocco we have Mauritania, Mali, Guinea , Burkina Faso , Benin and Nigeria. While passing those countries we’ve got a big dessert called “Sahara” so please explain how did he get to Nigeria from Denmark ???”.

Do you think this is true or not?
