A suicide bomb attack at Muna garage in Maiduguri, Borno State capital on Wednesday night has left two people dead.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Borno State Command, Victor Isuku,who confirmed the incident in a statement to journalists said the bomb attack occurred at about 9:05pm.

“At about 2106hrs of 23/11/2016 Wednesday, an explosion occurred at Muna garage along Gamboru Ngala road Maiduguri. Two persons, including the suicide bomber, died on the spot, while a Mercedes Benz car Reg. No. AX 571 ABJ which was parked by the roadside was damaged by the impact of the explosion.”
He, however, noted that normalcy has already returned in the area and everybody has started going about their normal business.
Some suicide bombers had recently failed trying to infiltrate the garage which has become an epicentre of bomb blasts.
This is the fourth suicide bomb attack and the seventh bombing in the city in about a month. Just a week ago, three suicide bombers, two females and a male, struck Jiddari Polo area of the state with one detonating a bomb when intercepted by security personnel.
The police spokesman said mobile police personnel on guard duty opposite the Federal High Court, Jiddari Polo area of Maiduguri, had sighted three suspected suicide bombers (two females & a male) running towards their sandbag.
They were ordered to stop for questioning, in the process, one of them detonated the IED strapped to her body, killing herself and one other male accomplice.
The other female survivor was said to have been arrested alive and handed over to the military for further explanation and necessary follow-up actions.
