Majority of artistes write songs inspired by their mood at the moment of composition. Does this mean that Solidstar was high on weed when he was writing songs from his forthcoming album, ‘Weed’?
Funnily, the singer, songwriter and energetic performer, calls his soon-to-be-released third studio album ‘Weed.’ The Achievas Entertainment signee spoke about the motivation behind the album titled, which he promises to release sometime in September, and tagging it one of the best music projects in 2016.
Solidstar told fans to watch out for his highly anticipated album, which would serve as a follow-up to his debut album ‘One in a Million’ and his 2013 sophomore ‘Grace & Glory.’
The ‘Wait Refix’ songster disclosed ‘WEED’ is actually an acronym representing the phrase ‘Witness Everything Exceptionally Different.’

“This album has taken a lot of time to perfect. It took a whole lot of introspection and intensive study. My fans will get a feel of WEED this September and see why I am so excited about this,” he said.
“I am more than proud to say this album will shake the music industry. It would definitely be one of the most phenomenal body of works in 2016. Anticipate!”
Born as Joshua Iniyezo, Solidstar started a career in music as a drummer in his local church. In 2010, he released his debut hit album One in a Million. The remix of the single “One in a Million” thereafter featuring Africa’s legend 2face Idibia went on to become an anthem and he followed it up with several other hit singles.
As a tip of the iceberg, Solidstar released a single off Weed album in June, titled ‘Wait Refix.’ The song was produced by P. Banks and featured Mavin’s first lady Tiwa Savage and reggae-dancehall singer Patoranking. Fingers crossed, fans are waiting to get high on this most anticipated WEED.
