Yesterday, 30th May, Nigerian Juju Musician, Sir Shina Peters, popularly called SSP, marked his 58th birthday and his 21st wedding anniversary with his wife, Sammie Peters.
The double celebration was crowned with Mrs. Peters post shared on Facebook, telling the world what her husband meant to her.
“Happy Birthday Olu-mi! And Happy Wedding Anniversary to us! You are My heartbeat! My light! My world! May you live long! A marriage ordained in heaven!” She wrote.
She also shared photos from their wedding on Facebook. Shina Peters and his wife got married in at his house in Iju, Lagos house.
The ceremony was well-attended by popular socialites like Goddy Anabor, Tunde Adaba, Gboyega Okegbenro, acclaimed romance writer Kayode Ajala, among others.
Prior to their marriage, the singer had a romantic involvement with Nollywood actress, Clarion Chukwura in the early 80s. The relationship resulted in a child – Clarence Peters, who is one of Nigeria’s foremost cinematographers.
Although Sir Shina Peters had once said in an interview, that he wished Clarence was not his son, he is proud that a product from his loins is as successful and even more popular than him.
Mrs. Sammie Peters recently came back to Nigeria after battling cancer for two years. She went through Chemotherapy in a Hospital in the United States of America, and all through her loving husband was always by her side.
