Sacked or Not? Cool FM OAP, Freeze Addresses Rumour


Just yesterday, a popular blogger shared a controversial post suggesting that Cool FM has sacked, one of their top On Air Personalities, Daddy Freeze.

However, Daddy Freeze shared on Twitter today, August 30, 2016, that he is still with the Radio station, as the trending news was only a rumour.

According to him, the stories were spread with a malicious intent by bloggers. He said, “Rumours started flying around on Saturday when some bloggers tried to get an audience. Many of them malicious others untrue.”

“There are times when my boss will disagree with me. But, I don’t see my  boss as a boss, my boss is my father. This is my first post-school job. I came here when I was 25, I’m 40 now. I’ve been here for 15 years. We’re family,” he concluded.

Daddy Freeze resumed duties yesterday, August 29, 2016, at 5:00pm when he co-anchored the ‘Road Show‘ alongside Kaylah. The personality talked about the best and badly dressed at the just concluded MTV Video Music Awards. He also took to Instagram yesterday, August 29, 2016, sharing a video of himself driving to work, just to drive home his point . . .’ I wasn’t sacked!”

He also shared an image of himself and owner of the AIMS Group (which owns the radio station) Mr. Amin Mousalli. He captioned the image “#FatherAndSon! …. #CoolfmIsFamily #YourNo1HitMusicStation #96.9 “.

The reports that Freeze had been sacked was said to have resulted over a feud with comedian, Basketmouth which he has since refuted.

Freeze also watered down that thought stating , “Yes, there are issues stemming from a meeting over presenters fees yesterday, details of which I choose not to discuss, because of the respect I have for Mr Moussalli and his family, but trust me, it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Basket mouth or social media.”
