President Buhari Prays For Nigeria In Saudi Arabia


President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Medinah, Saudi Arabia for lessa Hajj on Wednesday, on his one week special prayer pilgrimage for Nigeria.

He journeyed to Saudi Arabia (Umrah) for the Pilgrimage in the company of Governors Rauf Aregbesola (Osun State); Abdul Aziz Yari (Zamfara State); Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun State); Aminu Masari (Katsina State), Kashim Shettima (Borno State); National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj-Gen. Babagana Monguno, among other delegation.

On his arrival to Riyadh on Tuesday February 23, he was received and escorted, along with his excorts, by the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

President Buhari was also recieved by the Crowned Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Riyadh Governor, Prince Faisal bin Bandar.

After the official welcome ceremony and before the prayer section, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques held a luncheon banquet in honor of President Buhari and his delegation. The reception and the banquet were also attended by a number of Saudi Arabia Princes.

President Muhammadu Buhari, in the company of the Nigerian Governors and other officials with King Salman din Abdulaziz and his officials, took a short walk to Prophet Muhammad Mosque in Medina for the lesser Hajj, Umrah [prayer proceeds].
