Police Raids Fetish Frausters’ Shrine In Ogun State, Details

Some team of senior police officers lead by Abdulmajid Ali, raided a fetish den at Abule Ifa, Siun area of Obafemi Owode local government, used by ritualists to perpetuate evil crimes in the Ogun state.

The operation followed a tip-off by concerned individuals who reported about the dangerous activities going on in at the ritualists den. It was reported that two leaders of the shrine were apprehended by the police, with several fetish objects and charms.

Ali who is the Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of police in charge of zone 2, and other offices including the commissioner of police, Ogun state police command, Mr. Ahmed Iliyasu; Officer in Charge of Operations, Zone 2, DCP Suleiman Balarabe; Commander of the ZIS, CSP Gbenga Megbope, and Commander 16 Police Mobile Force, Chika, among others, took the quest to assess the fraudsters’ den and provide legal means to pull it down.

According to the AIG, the dangerous den was used by fraudsters and ritualists to defraud people and carry out evil acts.

The AIG said:

“This is a place for organised crime, where fraudsters use to deceive innocent citizens and part with large sums of money. I have gotten a lot of report about them and we have been monitoring them.



“The operatives, who had been on surveillance of the men of the underworld, were able to arrest the ring leaders of the syndicate identified as Taiwo Adeleke, 47, and Kayode Oseni, 52.”

Speaking further on the issue, Ali said that the force is will adopt proper legal procedures towards the case.

“Necessary legal steps will be taken to take over the structure and dislodge the syndicate, and the suspects would be charged to court.”

Lately, crime incidents ha been reported in Ogun state, including kidnap cases, ritual killings, domestic violence, etc. However, the police force had been successful in their duties to wipe out crime perpetrators in the state.
