Chief Raymond Dopkesi reportedly sent a giant season’s greeting cards to both President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo today.
A team from DAAR Communications, owners of AIT and Ray Power F.M, visited the State House, Abuja, today, January 5, to present the massive Greeting Card marking Eid el Maulud, Christmas and New Year, to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Based on reports, the team made up of Mr Raymond Dokpesi Jnr (Chairman), Mr Tony Akiotu (Group MD), Imoni Mac Amarere (MD, DAAR News Services), Paulyn Ugbodaga (Head, Human Resource) and Kunle Onime (Head, Corporate Communications) were received by Mr Femi Adesina, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to President Buhari, accompanied by Mr O.J Abuah, Director of Information.
The message on the giant card reads:
“The chairman, Board of Directors, Management and staff of DAAR Communications Plc, proprietors and operators of Raypower FM, Africa Independent Television and Faaji FM, most heartily felicitate with Your Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR and family on the occasions of Eid Maulud, Christmas and New Year 2016.”
Take a look at the photos below:
Recall that the embattled former Chairman of Daar Communications, Raymond Dokpesi spent a night at kuje prison after he was unable to meet his bail condition and it was obvious that his stay was not pleasant at all because upon leaving Kuje jail where he was remanded for not fulfilling bail conditions, Dokpesi tasked the management of his TV station to make Prison reforms a burning issue.
Dokpesi is currently facing a six-count of alleged money laundering after being charged by EFCC as he was caught in the web of the arms deal fraud for receiving N2.1 billion from former NSA Sambo Dasuki for PDP’s presidential media campaign. The money was reportedly disbursed from the $2.1 billion mapped out for the procurement of arms.
Well, this goes to show that the media mogul might be trying to avoid being thrust into prison once more, but will this have any effect on Buhari?
The cardinal question remains: Is Dokpesi Trying Buy Buhari Over With His New Year’s Gift?
