The wedding, as announced by a friend of the couple, K-Meks, who seconded as the MC of the wedding, took place at Women Development Centre, Abakaliki in Ebonyi State.

The occasion was graced by family, friends, and other corps members. Sharing the couple’s pre-wedding photos on Facebook, K-Meks narrated how the couple met.

“When we arrived the NYSC Orientation Camp at Old MacGregor College, Afikpo Ebonyi State, Nigeria On 28th October 2015,” he wrote. We all came with the intention of serving our great nation, Nigeria. Hence we went about the rigorous activities of the camp, that lasted for full 21days… But something happened!!”

“Two corps members from my platoon (Platoon 2) actually became friends… then became close friends… and after the camp… decided to move a step further by going into an intimate relationship…”

Now man and wife, Ojo and Dupe have made something great out of their service year, and hopefully, it will remain a wise decision.

Similarly, Jola and Oladele met at the NYSC camp as Corps members and took their affair a nudge higher. Later on while they were planning their pre-wedding shots, they decided to recreate their NYSC days and so took pictures wearing their NYSC vest, boot, and Khaki.

Although they had other pre-wedding pictures, that with the NYSC costume went viral on the internet. The couple had since wedded in April 2016 and are living happily.

Long live all NYSC couples! Just like you made it through the service year under the sun and in the rain, so shall you scale through every marital hurdle.
