Niger Delta Avengers has claimed blowing up another Trans Forcados Export Pipeline in the creeks of Warri South West Council Area of Delta State.
The Avengers said it had on Tuesday night, attacked the Forcados Export Pipeline in Delta State, the third onslaught on the facility by militants since Niger Delta leaders met with President Muhammadu Buhari, November 1, at Abuja.
Claiming responsibility for the attack, Niger Delta Avengers, NDA , twitted on it’s twitter handle @Agbinibond in the early hours of Wednesday: “Today (Tuesday) at 10:45p.m, our Elite Strike Team (Strike Team 6) has blown up the Forcados Export Pipeline.”
Giving reasons for the attack, the group said: “The action is to further stress that we don’t appreciate the repairs of blown pipelines.”
This latest attack is coming barely 24 hours after operatives of the Operations Delta Safe around Batan community repelled them from carrying out a similar attack on another pipeline that fields the Forcados Export Terminal operated by Shell/ Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) with crude on Tuesday.

The spokesman of the Joint Force, Lt-Col. Olaolu Daudu, confirmed this in a statement in Bayelsa on Tuesday. Daudu said that the operations were carried out between Saturday and Tuesday.
Daudu also said that troops on patrol at Asugbo Tibigbene and Beneth River Warri South Local Government Area had impounded a wooden boat carrying 53 drums of illegally refined substance at Asugbo, while another troops on clearance operation at Yorkiri, Obotobo, Chamomi Creek Okerenkoko and Open river arrested a Cotonou boat conveying Jerrycans for possible loading of substance.
