Neymar who is also known to have been taking piano classes, isn’t the only current football star to launch a music career.
Ex-Real Madrid and now PSG forward, Jesé has also doubled up as a reggaeton rapper under the alter ego, Jey-M.
Football legend, Pelé has also released his own album as well as a recent song titled ‘Hope’ (Esperança), which was composed especially for the Rio Olympics 2016.
The 24-year-old winger was part of the Barcelona side that lost to newly promoted Alaves 2-1 at the Camp Nou on Saturday, handing an early advantage to Real Madrid in LaLiga’s title race.
Meanwhile, his agent, Wagner Ribeiro, said Neymar came close to joining Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain before signing a Barcelona contract extension. Ribeiro told Brazilian media:
“He was very close to PSG. He would have earned €40 million a year, free. Neymar was also close to a move to Manchester United. But he renewed his contract for less money with Barcelona, because he wants to stay in Barcelona.”
Ribeiro also admitted that the Ligue 1 champions offered €190 million (£160 million) to sign Neymar in the summer.
The Brazilian’s new deal contains a buyout clause of €200 million for the first year of the contract, €222 million for the second and €250 million for the remaining three years, until 2021.
