A woman claiming to be boxing legend, Muhammad Ali’s former girlfriend has made a sick bid to cash in on his death by offering for sale tapes she claims show him at sex parties.
Just two days after Muhammad was laid to rest at his funeral, the ex-girlfriend, Barbara Mensah, who alleges her 35-year-old daughter, Kiiursti is Muhammad Ali’s lovechild hopes for more than $100,000 (about £70,000), for the footage.
The 70-year old Barbara has already made inquiries to get the old cine film transferred on to CD to make her sordid deal easier to clinch. She claimed the footage was shot at “gumbo parties” arranged after his fights.
Barbara claims the tapes were entrusted to her by one of Ali’s closest confidants. She explains that the video shows Ali and a few of his guys and then about a dozen or more girls. All of them were stunning.
She says Muhammad couldn’t keep away from a pretty girl whether he was married or not. The tape shows them having sex; they used to call them gumbo parties – it was a mix of everything.
Barbara, who had a 20-year affair with the sporting legend, attended Muhammad Ali’s private memorial service on Thursday, the day before his public funeral, and stood just feet from Muhammad’s widow Lonnie, who she blames for cutting him out of her life.
She claims a 1988 paternity test proves Kiiursti is the three-times world heavyweight champion’s child, although Ali is not named on her birth certificate.
She claims that Lonnie stopped her and her daughter from seeing the star when he became too ill with Parkinson’s disease to make the journeys on his own, insisting that he regularly visited Kiiursti until she was about five years old.
Barbara also says that she has written a book about her life with the star and no less than eight publishers are fighting for the rights to it.
America’s prestigious Life magazine did a special edition on Ali’s defiance and published a photo of him with Barbara.
The four-times-married boxer officially had nine children and Kiiursti, who looks remarkably like the ex-world heavyweight champ, claims she has met one of his daughters, Laila Ali, 38, who became a boxer herself.
Kiiursti says she also speaks to Muhammad Ali’s only biological son Muhammad Ali Jr. who was estranged from his father for more than two years before his death and also blames his father’s widow, Lonnie for cutting him out.
