Monica confirms that Majek is currently in London doing what he loves best.
“Majek is in London doing Majek Fashek things. I am always glad to hear his voice on the other side. It’s been over 20 years since he was last in London. He remembers his own, no matter what. He is slowly putting his life together and doing the things he loves most, music.”
Already, the “Send Down the Rain” singer has started hooking up with people that matters. He paid a visit to jazz musician, Micro Mike Appoh, who ruled the jazz music scene many years ago and made good music with superstars like Don Jazzy, Solek and others in London.

Due to addiction to hard drugs, the singer was sent to rehab where he spent some months. After he was discharged, Majek was in the care of Delta state billionaire, Ayiri Emani, until early in May, when his sponsor ceased to assist him.
In April, Majek Fashek was billed to perform, alongside few Nigerian musicians, at the Eko Le Meridian hotel, in Lagos. According to witnesses, he staggered on to the stage, oozing alcohol, dirty and haggard. Obviously, the rehab intervention did not do so much to change his habits.
He barely made it through his songs. The great music icon was beginning to loss his essence. Sometime in May, a colleague of his allegedly accused Majek of harassing his girlfriend.
