Real Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane has admitted that arch-rivals Barcelona deserve to win this season’s La Liga title. Madrid have only lost twice in 26 games under Zinedine Zidane, and lost losing out on the title by a single point.
Real Madrid had won their last 12 league games, but Barcelona ended the season with five victories in a row after a slip in April which saw Real close in on their 10-point lead.

Coach Zidane in a press conference said,
“We’re all disappointed, but with 38 matchdays played, we can’t change anything now,”
“Barcelona deserved to win La Liga.”
Barca Coach Agrees With Madrid Coach
Barcelona Coach, Luis Enrique, winning his second title in two seasons since taking charge of Barcelona, agreed with Madrid Coach Zidane. He said,
“It was a deserved title which shows that the team knows how to bounce back from a bad spell.
“We played very well over the full season, we were on top of the table for many weeks and the most consistent team wins the title.”
In their last five games, Barcelona had scored 24 goals without conceding any. Barca’s fifth victory in a row ensured they won the league by one point from Real, who beat Deportivo La Coruna 2-0.
Suarez scored his 39th and 40th La Liga goals with a header and a pass from Neymar, giving him La Liga’s golden boot as highest goal scorer.
Barca have won six of the last eight La Liga titles – including two in a row. Captain Andres Iniesta has now won eight La Liga titles, a third of Barcelona’s total league championships.
Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have cup finals yet to play in the coming weeks. Barca will face Sevilla in next Sunday’s Copa del Rey final, while Real Madrid will play city rivals Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday, 28 May.
