Korede Bello Hits the Streets of Lagos For a Charity Walk


Mavin Records artiste, Korede Bello went into the streets of Lagos on Children’s day, May 27th, to lead a charity rally in support of the #StrapThatChildNow movement.

The Strap and Safe Child Foundation went on an awareness rally to remind people of the safety of children in a moving vehicle. The aim of the foundation is to get people to always keep children strapped in when they are in a vehicle.



Korede, whose name means harvest, has successfully conquered the Nigerian music market. The Lagos State Born singer started performing at the age of 7 by the stage name African Prince.

He studied Mass Communication at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Information Management.

After the release of his first single, he was introduced to Don Jazzy by his manager Casmir Uwaegbute. A day to his 18th birthday, the singer got signed to Mavin Records which gave him the platform he now rides on.

Korede Bello seems to be the most successful among the three artists Don Jazzy signed in 2014.

He is most known for his popular hit track – Godwin aside other collaborations he has done with the Mavin All Stars. His latest collaboration is a banging jam, ‘Chike’ which he did with Ice Prince.

2016 proposes to be a good year for the young star. Aside hitting one million followers on Instagram beating early comers like D’banj, 2Face, Flavour, Yemi Alade and others, the singer also renewed his contract with textile company, Woodin. He also had a May Day Afrobeats concert in England.

The 20-year old singer on his last birthday visited the Down Syndrome Foundation of Nigeria where he celebrated with kids who live with the condition. He is indeed embracing the philanthropic side of him.
