Katsina: Police Arrest Man For Having Sex With A Horse


Katsina State Police Command have arrested a man (names withheld) caught having sex with a horse at the state polo ground at night.

Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Usman Abdullahi, told newsmen on Thursday, March 10, that the man was arrested at night two days ago near Polo Ground in Katsina by a police patrol team.

The policemen on patrol around the area saw a motorcycle parked, the officers who sensed something sinister and became suspicious, searched the area and they caught the naked man behind a wall making love to a horse.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Usman Abdullahi, decried the incident as “unfortunate” for a human being to make love to an animal.

Usman Abdullahi, also disclosed that the police recently arrested four persons over alleged drug abuse and trafficking.

According to him, the suspects tried to bribe the police with N100,000, but the police rejected their offer. The suspects would be charged to court. He urged parents, religious leaders and other stakeholders to intensify efforts toward inculcating moral values in their children.

Also in recent developments, PREMIUM TIMES report that the Katsina State police arrested 331 suspected cattle thiefs and recovered 4,088 animals in the state between January and February 2016.

In a news conference, on Thursday, the State Commissioner of Police, Usman Abdullahi, disclosed that 318 suspects were charged to court, while 100 were convicted during the period under review.

Mr. Abdullahi said 3,009 out of the 4,088 animals had been handed over to their owners, and this is made possible through the efforts of the joint security patrol team under “Operation Sharar Daji.”

Two AK 47 rifles, two pistols, some ammunition and other dangerous weapons were recovered from the suspects.

The Commissioner said the police were able to block some of the routes through which the rustlers got food and drugs in the forests.
