Goodluck Jonathan’s Open Letter To Trump Has Got People Talking, Here’s Why

Nigeria’s immediate past President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has written an open letter to Donald Trump, the President-elect of United States of America. In Jonathan’s open letter, he expressed optimism that the new President will transform American into a better nation than it is already and also expressed his desire for Trump’s administration to work with the African continent to help her people realize its goals and aspirations.

Ex-president Jonathan’s open letter dated Friday, January 20, was posted on his Facebook page but for some unknown reasons, the former leader decided to keep mute about the speculations which surfaced in the Nigerian media space yesterday, January 19, that ex-President will be attending Trump’s inauguration later today following an invitation.

Dear Donald J. Trump,

By the grace of God, President of the United States of America.

As the United States of America opens a new chapter today, many around the world, myself inclusive, are optimistic that the success you have achieved in your career as one of the world’s foremost entrepreneurs will be translated to your life as a public servant and custodian of the trust of the American people.
